TITANIUM GRADE 19 PIPES

EXPOTERS, STOCKIST & MANUFACTURER OF TITANIUM GRADE 19 PIPES, Ti GRADE 19 PIPES

Ti-3Al-8V-6Cr-4Mo-4Zr is a beta alloy, which is capable of achieving a wide range of mechanical properties. In the solution annealed condition the alloy is very ductile and can be easily cold worked. High strength levels can be developed by cold working, solution treating, and aging, or a combination of these processes. This alloy also exhibits very good resistance to reducing acids. The alloy is commonly used for springs and fasteners for aircraft, tubing in oil and gas wells, and as wire in sporting goods and jewelry, and has limited availability in wire, bar, tubing, sheet, and plate

NESCO ENGINEERING is international industrial distributor & stockholder of High Nickel Alloy & Super Alloy Materials & associate companies. The Group is active in practically all sectors of industry. The customer is the focus of all activities of the company. The Group’s customer oriented approach is supported by the extensive range of products – both in types and sizes – that it handles and the comprehensive service package it offers.

Titanium Grade 19 Bar is lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant and abundant in nature. Titanium and its alloys possess tensile strengths from 30,000 psi to 200,000 psi (210-1380 MPa), which are equivalent to those strengths found in most of alloy steels. The density of titanium is only 56 percent that of steel, and its corrosion resistance compares well with that of platinum. Of all the elements in the earth’s crust, titanium is the ninth most plentiful.

EXPOTERS, STOCKIST & MANUFACTURER OF TITANIUM GRADE 19 PIPES

Titanium’s outstanding corrosion resistance is due to the formation of a tightly adherent oxide film on its surface. When damaged, this thin invisible layer immediately reforms, maintaining a surface which is completely resistant to corrosive attack in sea water and all natural environments. This oxide is so resistant to corrosion that titanium components often look brand new even after years of service.

Titanium pipes are used in a variety of industries and applications due to their unique properties and benefits, which include high strength-to-weight ratio, exceptional corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility. Here are some of the primary industries and applications where titanium pipes find use:

  1. Aerospace Industry: Titanium pipes are extensively used in aerospace applications, including aircraft frames, landing gear, and engine components. Their lightweight nature and resistance to corrosion make them ideal for aircraft construction.
  2. Chemical Processing: Titanium pipes are resistant to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, acids, and alkalis. They are used in the construction of chemical reactors, heat exchangers, and piping systems for chemical processing plants.
  3. Oil and Gas Industry: Titanium pipes are employed in offshore drilling platforms and subsea applications due to their resistance to seawater corrosion. They are also used in the transportation of corrosive fluids and gases in the oil and gas sector.
  4. Medical and Healthcare: Titanium’s biocompatibility makes it suitable for medical applications. It is used in the manufacture of medical implants such as orthopedic implants (e.g., hip and knee replacements), dental implants, and surgical instruments.
  5. Marine Industry: Titanium’s corrosion resistance makes it ideal for use in marine environments. It is used in the construction of ship components, desalination plants, and marine exhaust systems.
  6. Power Generation: Titanium pipes are used in power generation plants, including nuclear power plants, where resistance to corrosion and high temperatures is essential.
  7. Automotive Industry: While less common than in other industries, titanium pipes can be found in high-performance automotive exhaust systems due to their ability to withstand high temperatures and reduce weight.
  8. Desalination Plants: Titanium’s resistance to saltwater corrosion is crucial in desalination plants, where it is used in the construction of heat exchangers and pipes for the desalination of seawater.
  9. Sports Equipment: In some sports equipment, such as bicycle frames, golf club shafts, and tennis racquets, titanium pipes are used to reduce weight while maintaining strength.
  10. Chemical Laboratories: Titanium pipes are used in laboratory setups for handling and transporting corrosive chemicals and reagents.
  11. Food and Beverage Industry: Titanium pipes can be found in food processing plants where corrosion resistance is required for handling acidic or corrosive food products.
  12. Architecture and Construction: Titanium pipes are used in architectural applications, such as for structural support, where corrosion resistance and a modern aesthetic are desired.
  13. Nuclear Industry: In nuclear reactors and facilities, titanium pipes are used for their resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.
  14. Environmental Equipment: Titanium pipes are used in environmental control equipment, such as scrubbers and pollution control systems, due to their corrosion resistance and durability.
  15. Electronics: In some specialized electronics and semiconductor manufacturing processes, titanium pipes may be used for their chemical resistance.
